Privacy Policy
Vantage Labs LLC · Research Use Only
Vantage Labs LLC ("Vantage Labs", "we", "us", or "our"), a Florida limited liability company, is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses our website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID from Google's OAuth service. Google's own privacy policy governs how Google handles your data during the sign-in process.
- Shipping information: name, address, city, state, postal code, and country when you place an order.
- Payment information: we do not store credit card numbers. Card payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. For crypto and Zelle payments, no financial credentials are transmitted to us.
Information collected automatically
- Session data: an encrypted session cookie is used to keep you logged in. It contains no personal information and expires when you log out or your session times out.
- Server logs: our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and diagnostic purposes. We do not sell or use these for advertising.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To fulfill and ship your orders
- To send order confirmations and shipping updates to your email
- To respond to support inquiries
- To maintain the security of your account
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. Full stop.
3. Data Sharing
We share your data only where strictly necessary to operate the business:
- Shipping carriers: your name and delivery address are passed to the carrier to fulfil your order.
- Payment processors: card transactions are handled by a PCI-compliant third-party processor. We receive a confirmation of payment, not your card details.
- Email provider (SendGrid): used to deliver transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets). SendGrid does not use your data for its own marketing.
We maintain Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all third-party processors listed above to ensure your data is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including GDPR and applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for the following specific periods:
- Account information: retained for as long as your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion request to allow for recovery.
- Order records and transaction data: retained for 7 years after the date of the transaction for tax, accounting, and legal compliance purposes.
- Server logs: retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes, then automatically deleted.
- Session cookies: expire when you log out or your session times out (no persistent tracking).
- Support correspondence: retained for 3 years after last contact for quality and dispute resolution purposes.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us — see Section 7. Certain data may be retained beyond your deletion request where required by law (e.g., tax records).
5. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you authenticated while you browse. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time, though this will prevent you from staying logged in.
6. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: Processing your order, managing your account, and providing customer support.
- Consent: Sending marketing communications (only when you opt in). You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: Fraud prevention, site security, and improving our services — balanced against your privacy rights.
- Legal obligation: Retaining records for tax, accounting, and regulatory compliance.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Data portability (receive a copy of your data in a structured format)
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email us at sales@vantagelabs.com or write to Vantage Labs LLC, 1644 NE 151 St, North Miami Beach, FL 33162. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and session-based authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take this responsibility seriously and continuously review our practices.
9. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected users without unreasonable delay, and in any event within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach where feasible. We will also notify relevant supervisory authorities as required by applicable law, including the Florida Attorney General's office and any applicable EU/UK data protection authorities.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to know: You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., legal obligations).
- Right to opt-out of sale: We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We never have and never will.
- Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise your California privacy rights, email sales@vantagelabs.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
11. Children's Privacy
Our site is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
